A major glass kitchen/dining extension to the rear of a lovely 1930s house in Esher provided the perfect opportunity for my client to revitalise their garden with the brief to their architect and garden designer to bring the outside in and make the garden much more of a focal feature from the house itself. The client wanted to be drawn out into the garden and the boundary between house and garden broken down so the two merge much more into one.
A generous patio, seating and entertaining areas around the garden all surrounded by new planting have been designed. The client, a keen plants woman can also now enjoy a generous sized vegetable and cutting garden which now benefits from sunshine, which their previous patch didn’t! The hard landscaping was completed during Spring 2020, with the new planting following in autumn 2020.
